Above & Beyond Initiative
The Above & Beyond Initiative is an invitation for us, as a faith family, to trust Jesus at a deeper level, with every part of our lives. It's about surrendering our time, our giftings, and our resources, as we step into the opportunity God has placed before us, because we believe that God "is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than (above & beyond what) we might ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20
We also recognize that this will come at a cost. Real kingdom impact always does. But we believe the cost of our city not having a strong gospel presence is far greater. Throughout the Bible, God’s people consistently sacrificed, gave, served, and trusted him so future generations could know and worship him. In the same way, we desire to live with an eternal perspective, investing not only in what benefits us today, but in what could impact lives for years to come.
The Above & Beyond Initiative is not about pressure or obligation. It's about obedience, faith, and opportunity. It's an opportunity for us to ask God what it looks like to trust him above and beyond what feels comfortable or expected. For some, that may mean giving financially in a new way. For others, it may mean serving, sacrificing time, praying faithfully, or taking a step of deeper commitment to the mission God has called us to as a church.
Ultimately, this initiative is about people. It's about seeing lives changed by Jesus. It is about establishing a place where the gospel is proclaimed, disciples are made, families are strengthened, and our city is impacted for generations to come.
Our prayer is simple: that God would do above and beyond all we could ask or imagine through a church fully surrendered to him.
As God has opened the door for us to establish a permanent home in our city, we believe this initiative is about far more than a building. It's about creating space for people to encounter Jesus, be discipled, find community, and experience the hope that is found only in Jesus. It is about making room for “one more” person, one more family, one more life to be awakened to the good news Jesus came to bring.
